Death Overs & Efficiency Analysis
The struggle for both Indian pacers has been most visible in the final phase of the innings, where they have historically been dominant. If we look at Jasprit Bumrah, he has bowling average of 132.00, which is currently the worst for any bowler who has bowled minimum 25 overs in this edition of IPL.  Known for his exceptional bowling at the death, so far he has conceded  50+ runs twice already, including a 0/54 against SRH where he was targeted by Travis head & Klaasen. Despite lack of wickets , he has been able to contain runs better at overall economy  at 8.80

Coming to Arshdeep Singh, his economy rate of 10.97 is one of the highest among frontline pacers. The 68-Run Match against Rajasthan Royals where Punjab got their first defeat of this season, he finished with overall spell with dismal numbers (1/68) where he was took apart by young Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal in the powerplay. Unlike Bumrah, Arshdeep has still managed to find wickets (8 in 8 matches), though his strike rate and average (41.13) have suffered due to the high volume of runs conceded.

While some of the bowlers like Bhuvi, Mohsin has been fantastic with bowl so far and in race of purple cap , Star indian bowlers have struggled. While it can be rough patch, what we can hope is strong come back by both the guns and in the later stage of tournament we see best of Bumrah & Arshdeep IPL 2026 bowling performances.
